Inspiration
In Proust, a madeleine dipped in tea brings back an entire childhood. Atelier des Ors connects that image with cyanotype, the blue photographic technique of the nineteenth century, in collaboration with artist Maxime Siau. Blue Madeleine is about a taste or scent that awakens memories, captured in the deep blue of a print.

The Signature of Blue Madeleine
Bergamot, pink pepper and cinnamon give a spicy-fresh opening reminiscent of a bakery in the early morning. Centifolia rose, black tea and a cloud of milk form a tender heart, like tea with a dash of milk in a porcelain cup. Cade, Peru balsam, praline and sandalwood bring a warm, faintly smoky sweetness below. The cade adds a hint of wood fire that keeps the gourmand in balance.

Blue Madeleine is a scent that starts conversations in our shop. People smell tea with milk and a rose, and then that surprising smokiness of cade joins in.
