We see Blue Diamond as a scent for those who love radiant, opulent perfumes with a story. On the skin the scent opens with Spanish mandarin and orange blossom, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then Turkish rose and Egyptian jasmine take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into Indian sandalwood and dry woods, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best on autumn and winter evenings, for a special occasion. A scent for lovers of oud with a fresh, radiant opening.

Sinds kort draag ik Blue Diamond en hij had me meteen te pakken. Ik kwam eigenlijk voor een andere geur, tot iemand naast me deze opspoot. De walm die mijn kant op kwam was genoeg om me direct nieuwsgierig te maken… wat Ãs dit, dacht ik. Eén spray later was ik verkocht.
Blue Diamond opent fris en sprankelend met citrus en oranjebloesem, maar die helderheid maakt al snel plaats voor een warmere, kruidige bloemigheid waarin jasmijn en roos mooi naar voren komen. Vervolgens zakt hij langzaam in een zachte basis van vanille, hout en een subtiel vleugje oud. Die combinatie geeft de geur een luxe, verslavende diepte zonder zwaar te worden.
Het geheel voelt chic en uitgebalanceerd: een geur die zich rustig om je heen legt en gedurende de dag steeds mooier wordt. Ik heb er inmiddels al complimenten op gekregen en merk dat ik er automatisch naar grijp.
Omdat het een extract is, gebruik ik maar een paar sprays — en dat is meer dan genoeg. Blue Diamond heeft zich in korte tijd ontwikkeld tot een vaste favoriet in mijn collectie.
