Inspiration
BORNTOSTANDOUT® by Fugazzi is one of the two scents from the collaboration between Fugazzi from Amsterdam and BORNTOSTANDOUT® from Seoul, initiated in 2024 by Fugazzi founder Bram Niessink and BORNTOSTANDOUT® founder Jun Lim. Each scent carries the design of one house and the name of the other: this bottle is Fugazzi, the name is BORNTOSTANDOUT®. Perfumer Valérie Garnuch-Mentzel drew on the idea of a second love, an intense romance full of mystery and seduction. Love stories often begin with roses, but soon fade into mystery.

The Signature of BORNTOSTANDOUT® by Fugazzi
The opening of bergamot and geranium is fresh and lightly green, after which a cheeky blend of pomarose and pepper gives the rose a spicy, confident twist. Akigalawood, a woody material with a spicy, faintly oud-like tone, forms a warm backbone together with cedarwood and amber. Tobacco and leather add a smoky, gently animalic depth, so the rose gradually turns into something dark and mysterious. The contrast between flower and smoke keeps its development on the skin compelling from start to finish.
