Black Gemstone is a respectful reference to the sacred Black Stone in the Grand Mosque of Mecca. It is a mineral fragrance with a deep, powerful and spiritual character, evoking the number seven so dear to its creator, and inspired by Pierre Soulages’ work on light within black.

An infusion of three cedars with a hint of Sicilian lemon opens bright and woody. Myrrh forms the dark, tar-like heart, before incense, teak and tonka let the scent end petrified yet soft as clay.

For us, Black Gemstone is a scent with a quiet confidence of its own: deep, spiritual and understated. On the skin the scent opens with cedar and Sicilian lemon, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then myrrh takes over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into incense and teak, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best on autumn and winter evenings, for a special occasion. A scent for lovers of incense and myrrh with mineral depth.
