Bête Humaine depicts the untamed side of humanity, the wild man who forms the link between civilisation and nature. He is hunter and prey at once, driven by fear and armed with strength. In the triptych of mythical creatures he is the earthy, dark counterpart of Blanche Bête.

The cumin and chestnut give a raw, almost animalic warmth that turns surprisingly sensual on the skin. After a few hours a dry, smoky wood remains that reminds us of a campfire in a pine forest.
