Bello Rabelo

Inspiration
A rabelo is the flat wooden boat that once carried barrels of port down the Douro to Porto. Liquides Imaginaires invented a legendary skipper to go with it, a hero of adventure and illusion. Together with Dom Rosa and Bloody Wood, Bello Rabelo forms the house's triptych around wine.

The Signature of Bello Rabelo
Port and dried fruit open sweet and dark, like raisins soaked in a glass of tawny. In the heart a balm accord, immortelle and cistus add a honeyed, slightly leathery warmth. Amber woods and benzoin round off the base, with the scent of oak barrels ripening in the hold.

For us Bello Rabelo is the scent of a winter evening by the fireplace, with a glass of port within reach. The immortelle gives it a spicy, almost curry-like edge, which keeps the sweetness nicely balanced. It lingers for a long time and grows softer and more resinous on the skin. Men and women wear it equally in our shop. A gourmand for grown-ups, without the candyfloss.
