Ambre des Abysses dives down instead of rising up. Houbigant looked for the warmth of amber where you would least expect it: in cool, deep water, where light turns green and every sound is muffled.

Bergamot, orange blossom and mint leaf open clearly. Rosemary, geranium and jasmine lay an herbal veil over patchouli and amber, while vanilla, tonka, oakmoss and leather give the whole firm bones.

We secretly call this the amber for people who don't really wear amber. Mint and rosemary keep everything airy, so the sweetness never turns heavy. After an hour the leather surfaces, and only then do you notice how well it is built. One of our favourites for a crisp autumn day, when you want warmth without a blanket around you.
