Parfums de Marly - Lippizan
Lipizzan is a tribute to the oldest culturally bred horse in the world, the Lipizzaner. First mentioned in 1786, the history of the Lipizzaner is closely linked with the house of Habsburg. Its birthplace is located on a stud farm in the small village of Lipica, located in the Slovenian borough of Sežana. Founded in 1580 by Archduke Charles II, the Lipica stud farm today is a world cultural heritage site with a unique reputation and exerts an irresistible attraction for horse lovers who have followed the renown of these white horses for centuries.
Kings, emperors and the nobility were enthralled by the Lipizzaner from Lipica, where the now famous stud farm sent their best horses to the famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Even today the School is a focal point due to its performances of the Haut École or High School of equestrian arts. The stud farm itself survived the ravages of various wars and despite losses and several forced evacuations still enjoys today great popularity and a reputation par excellence.
The Lipizzaner, due to the vegetation of its homeland, is a tough and durable horse. Furthermore, it is extremely intelligent, eager to learn, good-natured and brave; characteristics which predestine the breed as a great dressage, harness and also recreational horse.
Lipizzan, the fragrances certainly makes its namesake proud: This is a herbaceous and complex chypre fragrance with citrus fruits in the top note, floral nuances in the heart and very interesting leather accents in the base. A skillful example of the perfumer’s art that is certain to evoke a cry of respect from many men.

Heart Note: Jasmine, Rose, Iris, Galbanum, Patchouly, Cedarwood, Vetiver
Base Note: Tree Moss, Vanilla, Leather, Ambergris, Musk
LIPIZZANER staan bekend als “lucht boven de grond”. Een in Slovenië gefokt raspaard, begiftigd met de kunst van de klassieke figuren en de hoge stijlvolle sprongen. Dit toppaard dateert uit de 16e eeuw.
Lipizzan parfum is een boeiende houtige geur, die opent met bergamot, limoen, cardamon, tijm, tarragon en clary sage. (Salvia planten geslacht)
Het hart is een buitengewoon aangename en toegankelijke mengeling van jasmijn, roos, iris, galbanum, patchouli, ceder en vetiver. Eikenmos, vanilla, leer, amber en muskus vormen de basis.
