Cire Trudon CIRE Perfumed Candle
The Cire scented candle is an olfactory representation of the manufacture: symbolic, it blends emanations of warm wax and perfumes being crafted. Reinterpreting Cire Trudon’s fundamental values - ancient savoir-faire and commitment to excellence - the scented candle reveals a unique perfume: behind the amber-colored glass, a beeswax absolute. Bees and beeswax have always been at the heart of the manufacture’s History: since the 17th century, Cire Trudon’s motto is “Deo regique laborant”, which means: “they (the bees) work for God and the King”.
2019 marks a turning point for the Maison, as Cire Trudon decided to financially help the Orne Dark Bee Conservatory, with the partnership of the Perche Nature Park. 4 percent of all sales of the Maison’s Cire candle will go towards the saving of Orne Dark Bees.

Maison Trudon - L'ART DU CIRIER
Henri-Louis Duhamel du Monceau (1700-1782) was elected an associate member of France’s Royal Academy of Sciences in 1730. He actively participated in publishing the Description des Arts et des Métiers (Description of Arts and Crafts) collection by writing over twenty leaflets. One was dedicated to the “Candler’s Art”.
To help write the article, Duhamel du Monceau solicited Master Trudon whose expertise was invaluable. The text explained how wax is worked and then bleached to create church candles, flambeaux and torches … This leaflet confirmed, at the highest level, the skills and expertise of Cire Trudon.

The many centuries-long experience of the Trudon company makes it a wax producer with unrivalled know-how. Skilful and demanding, Trudon draws all its talent from its wax producers without neglecting innovation for perfecting its waxes.
Trudon keeps a little secret when it comes to manufacturing: candle wax made with vegetal material, forming a unique mixture, to be blended with perfume for perfect candles that go on burning.
Confidentially, this unique wax is essentially made with soya and copra. The candle wicks are made from pure cotton. The candles do not contain any substances on the Greenpeace OSPAR list. No heavy metals or pesticides are involved in their manufacturing and they are entirely biodegradable.
