Inspiration
Myrrh is mentioned seven times in the Song of Songs, and for centuries incense was held to be the most spiritual scent of all. Laura Tonatto brought the two together with the velvet of amber and named the result after an emir: a ruler from distant, half-imagined lands.
Fragrance Family
Amber and resinous
The Olfactive Composition
Main notes: Myrrh, incense, amber
The Signature of Amir
Myrrh opens bitter and balsamic, incense rises above it light and citrusy. Then amber encloses everything in a warm, sweet glow.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
To us Amir is the scent of an old Italian church on a winter morning, only wearing a fur collar. The incense is clear, almost lemony, and the myrrh adds something bitter and mysterious. After an hour everything melts into amber, soft and sweet. It stays close all day and still scents your scarf the next morning. The large bottle is chosen by customers who already know this will be their winter fragrance.
