For us, Checkmate is a scent with a quiet confidence of its own: elegant, composed and understated. On the skin the scent opens with bergamot and lemon, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then green leather and heliotrope take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into suede and Virginia cedar, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best all year round, during the day and at the office. A scent for those seeking a refined, soft leather.
