Reminiscence - Patchouli Blanc
Sensual and feminine, Patchouli Blanc transports the very first Reminiscence perfume, Patchouli, into an original and innovative olfactory territory. This fragrant variation composed around white, the colour of absolute purity, offers a new register to the legendary fragrance launched by Reminiscence in 1970. Its streamlined luminosity breaks with the sombre and heady character that turned Patchouli into the iconic fragrance of its time, yet its trail is equally ample and powerful. Endowed with a singular and immediately identifiable personality, Patchouli Blanc is in perfect keeping with the unique universe of Reminiscence perfumes.
Patchouli Blanc is an oriental woody musky composed by Fabrice Pellegrin (Firmenich), a long-time partner who has already signed six of Reminiscence's fragrance.
To give the colour white a scent, the perfumer used a palette of "white" raw ingredients. Patchouli Blanc opens with a burst of Aldehydes, emblematic ingredients of modern perfumery, refreshed by a touch of Star Anise. This ethereal start unfolds into a floral heart of Hawthorn with tender, powdery accents. Then comes Sandalwood, supported by Musks, and blending with white woody notes to harmonise the amber base characteristic of Patchouli Blanc. Subtly evoked, like a nod to the original Reminiscence perfume, Patchouli surrenders its darkest facets to infuse the fragrance with its luminous heart.

Patchouli Blanc was developed by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, and is described as cleaner and softer than the original. The notes include aldehydes, star anise, hawthorn, powdery notes, patchouli, sandalwood, white musk and ambergris.
