Velvet Tonka Extrait by BDK Parfums is a richer and more assertive interpretation of Velvet Tonka. The original gourmand signature is intensified through roasted pistachio, tonka bean and dark Saffiano leather, creating a composition with greater density, warmth and texture.

The fragrance draws inspiration from two worlds that have shaped David Benedek’s universe, Morocco and Paris. The warmth and craftsmanship of Moroccan pastry are contrasted with the darker, more structured character of leather, creating a dialogue between softness and urban depth.

The opening combines a pistachio accord with Cosmofruit. The roasted and lightly salted pistachio accord creates a rich, nutty and almost tactile gourmand impression, while Cosmofruit adds a contemporary fruity dimension.

At the heart, tonka bean is paired with orange blossom. Tonka bean provides warmth, softness and a velvety character, while orange blossom introduces a lighter floral dimension and gives the composition greater balance.

The base becomes darker and more textured. Vanilla rounds out the gourmand warmth, tobacco adds richness and depth, and Saffiano leather creates a dry, dark and structured finish.
