The Story
The history of Oman in the trade of essences is not on the spur of the moment. It spanned from thousands of years ago, especially since the greatest legacy of the frankincense trade since the stone age to the modern era, where this trade played a prominent role in the commercial activities between Oman and the world. Since then, the Omani individual has been known for his interest and artistry in the trade and manufacture of essences, due to Oman’s abundance of natural ingredients and prominent geographic features that provides diversity and great inspiration. Many Omani families were producing homemade essences for homes, weddings and special occasions until it becomes a commercial commodity sold in the markets. Since then, many ideas have crystallized and numerous local brands have been launched and reached the international level.
